Sports Massage is a class designed to educate therapists in techniques to help athletes enhance performance both pre-event and post-event through a unique combination of massage strokes, stretching protocols, icing and heating techniques, and recovery programs. Indications and contraindications will also be discussed as well as common pathologies. |
| Instructor Chris Pardue LMBT |
Chris Pardue, LMBT began his massage career in 1993. In 1995 he worked with the steering committee that passed the legislation to make Massage Therapy a licensed profession in North Carolina. He joined Hospice of Davidson County in 1996 and now sits on their Board of Directors. He was an EMT for 21 years and now splits his time between working in his full time practice, teaching as a faculty instructor at Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy, and teaching as a Continuing Education provider for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. He enjoys living on the lake and boating in his free time. |
